I design interfaces for teams building internal tools, SaaS platforms, and complex web systems — then I help ship them.
Outcomes over aesthetics. I reduce friction, remove steps, and deliver clean work that gets used — not just approved.
See the workHey, I'm Paige — a 24-year-old interface designer based in Auckland with a Bachelor of Design (Interface Design) from the University of Waikato. I have a habit of making things look significantly better than I found them.
Most recently I was a Marketing Coordinator at Hunza Outdoor Lighting where I rebuilt their website from scratch, fixed a database-level pricing bug with SQL, ran social media, and made sure everything from spec sheets to in-building signage felt polished.
I sit at the intersection of visual design and front-end development. Equally comfortable in Figma or a code editor. Every graphic, illustration, and image across my work is hand-drawn by me in Illustrator.
How I work
Figma → user flow mapping → wireframes → interactive prototype → handoff specs. I write HTML/CSS/JS when needed to close the loop between design and build.
Reduce steps before adding features
Every click is a decision. Fewer decisions means faster work. Applied in Automote: 5→2 steps.
Design for scanning, not reading
Users skim. Hierarchy does the heavy lifting. Applied in Hunza product pages.
Systems over screens
Consistent patterns reduce cognitive load. Applied across all three case studies.
Led full website redesign and ongoing maintenance (WordPress, HTML, CSS, JS, PHP). Fixed a database pricing bug via SQL that an external IT contractor couldn't resolve. Redesign fully built — pending management approval to launch.
Redesigned Automote, a dealer management platform used daily by car dealerships. Delivered a fully interactive Figma prototype covering core workflows — accepted as the development basis without further revision.
Three years of operational work with informal design contributions on the side. When you're a designer, you just can't help it.
Graduated with a major in Interface Design. Studied UX research, visual systems, typography, interaction design, and the theory behind why good design works.
Currently available for UX/UI or product design roles in NZ or remote.
Open to new roles, freelance work, and anything interesting. If you've made it this far, we're probably a good match.
