I design interfaces for teams building internal tools, SaaS platforms, and complex web systems.
Interface designer focused on outcomes, not just visuals. I reduce friction, remove steps, and ship clean work that actually gets used.
See the workHey, I'm Paige Simm - a 24-year-old interface designer based in Auckland with a Bachelor of Design (Interface Design) from the University of Waikato. I have a habit of making things look significantly better than I found them.
Most recently I was a Marketing Coordinator at Hunza Outdoor Lighting where I rebuilt their website from scratch, fixed a database-level pricing bug with SQL, ran social media, and made sure everything from spec sheets to in-building signage felt polished.
I sit at the intersection of visual design and front-end development. Equally comfortable in Figma or a code editor. Every graphic, illustration, and image across my work is hand-drawn by me in Illustrator.
How I work
Figma → user flow mapping → wireframes → interactive prototype → handoff specs. I write HTML/CSS/JS when needed to close the loop between design and build.
Reduce steps before adding features
Every click is a decision. Fewer decisions means faster work. Applied in Automote: 5→2 steps.
Design for scanning, not reading
Users skim. Hierarchy does the heavy lifting. Applied in Hunza product pages.
Systems over screens
Consistent patterns reduce cognitive load. Applied across all three case studies.
Lighting spec sheets redesigned from scratch. Clean, precise, hand-illustrated.
Social content for a luxury lighting brand. Every graphic hand-drawn in Illustrator.
